Baseball to Open MAC Tournament Against Miami

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University will open Mid-American Conference Tournament play on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Miami. Kent State will serve as the tournament host.
The Chippewas, regular season champs of the West Division, enter the six-team, double-elimination tournament as the No. 2 seed. Miami is the fifth seed.
CMU posted a 17-9 regular season MAC record, while Miami was 17-10 in conference action. The two teams did not meet in the regular season, this marks the third straight year the programs have met in the conference tournament.
Wednesday's first-round pairings in the tournament are as follows:
No. 3 Ball State vs. No. 4 Western Michigan, 10 a.m.
No. 1 Kent State vs. No. 6 Eastern Michigan, 1 p.m.
No. 2 Central Michigan vs. No. 5 Miami, 4 p.m.
