Meet the Chippewas Set for Feb. 3

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University's baseball program will host its annual Meet the Chippewas event Feb. 3 at Boomer's Lounge in Mount Pleasant.
The event lasts from 3-5 p.m. and is the first chance for Chippewa fans to meet the 2007 squad. Head coach Steve Jaksa, his coaching staff and the entire CMU team will be in attendance.
Cost is $8, payable at the door. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided, with a cash bar also available. Raffle prizes and a question-and-answer session for coach Jaksa will also be part of the event. A highlight film from the 2006 Mid-American Conference West Division championship season will also be shown.

Boomer's Lounge is adjacent to the Holiday Inn, 5665 East Pickard Road, Mount Pleasant.
CMU opens the 2007 season with a three-game series at UAB, Feb. 16-18. The home opener is slated for Tuesday, March 20 against Oakland at 3 p.m.
