Collmenter Named MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week

MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan University junior right-hander Josh Collmenter has been named Mid-American Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 8.
Collmenter was recognized for his complete-game, three-hit shutout at Bowling Green on April 6. He also earned MAC West Pitcher of the Week honors for his effort, as well as being named to the College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll. Collmenter was also lauded as the Great Lakes Region Performance of the Week by InsidePitching.com.
The MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week honor is presented to a MAC male and female student-athlete who has a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and performs well during that week's competition. The winners are selected by a group of the conference's faculty athletic representatives.
