Soccer Cracks Regional Rankings

MOUNT PLEASANT The Central Michigan University soccer team has cracked the SoccerBuzz.com Great Lakes Region rankings this week.

The Chippewas are 15th in the region after posting shutout victories over Northern Illinois and Western Michigan last weekend, CMU has not allowed a goal in its four Mid-American Conference matches.

Notre Dame is the region's top-ranked team according to the soccer publication.

The Chippewas are unbeaten in MAC play and sit at 9-2 overall. Central is on the road for a pair of conference contests with Kent State and Buffalo this weekend in search of its best MAC start ever. The Chippewas face the Golden Flashes on Friday, Oct. 10 before squaring off with the Bulls on Sunday, Oct 12.
