Prause and Pelkki Named to All-Tournament Team

TOLEDO, Ohio Central Michigan University sophomores Valerie Prause and Kristen Pelkki were each named to the all-tournament team at the Mid-American Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament.

Prause was one of the more active players in the soccer team’s run to the MAC semifinals. The midfielder led the team with seven shots attempted in its two tournament contests.

Pelkki had a strong tournament on the back end for the Chippewas. The defender’s play helped Central post a shutout victory over Ball State in the quarterfinal round. Her play on the defensive end was one of the reasons CMU allowed only 19 shot attempts in two matches.
