Chippewa Soccer Hosts Team Camp

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan University women’s soccer program will be hosting the “Chippewa Soccer Team Camp” on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, October 4 & 5, 2008. The cost for the camp is $40 per player, and a roster of approximately 14 to 18 players is recommended (14 minimum required).

This team camp is open to all Girls U-15 through U-19 youth teams and any U-15 through U-19 individuals who will be added to a team upon arrival.  Each team will have an opportunity to work with CMU’s soccer coaching staff and current CMU players in a game-like setting. Along with this exciting soccer experience, Central Michigan University features one of the best indoor athletic training facilities throughout Michigan. A competitive training schedule will be offered that includes the following aspects:

Technical session (individual emphasis on passing, receiving, dribbling, finishing, etc.)
Tactical group session (focusing on attacking, finishing, and positional play)
Competitive scrimmages for each team
Educational seminar and panel discussion on selecting a college, playing soccer at the collegiate level, and how each player can help themselves in the overall recruiting process. Open to all players, coaches, and parents (free brunch provided)
