2010 Meet the Chippewas Set for Feb. 20

MOUNT PLEASANT -- The 2010 edition of "Meet the Chippewas" is set for February 20 at Coco Joe's Beachhouse, starting at 11:45 a.m.
There will be free autographs and a chance to meet the entire 2010 squad and coaching staff. In addition, the first 35 fans in attendance will receive a free set of CMU baseball cards.
The program will get underway at 12:30 p.m., and features guest speaker Clark Huntey.
Huntey was a four-time letterwinner (1986-89) and was named team MVP in 1989. During his four seasons in the Maroon and Gold, the Chippewas went a combined 158-66-2, including four 20-win MAC seasons (93-32).
Huntey twice hit three home runs in a game and owns the school record for slugging percentage in a single season (.878 in 1989), thanks to 23 home runs his senior season, the second-most in program history. He still sits third on CMU's career home runs chart with 38.
The cost is $8 and includes lunch and door prizes. There will also be a cash bar.
