State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week - Dietrich Enns

MOUNT PLEASANT - Dietrich Enns of the CMU baseball program is this week's State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.


Enns provided a dominant and versatile week for the Central Michigan pitching staff last week. In his first career collegiate start, he tossed five shutout innings of one-hit ball against UIC. He walked two and struck out six. He followed up the effort with 3 2/3 inning of one-run relief against Akron on Saturday, giving up three hits and a walk while striking out four. Enns was credited with the victory when CMU rallied late in the second of three come-from-behind victories over UA.
Enns maintains a 3.75 grade-point average.
Each week, one student-athlete is selected as the State Farm Scholar-Athlete of the Week.
