MOUNT PLEASANT - Kim Hudson has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Operations for the Central Michigan University Athletics Department.
"Kim has contributed to our growth and success over the past several years and I look forward to her taking an increased role in our administrative team," Athletics Director Dave Heeke said. "This is an exciting time as we bring the new CMU Events Center into operation and integrate a full-service ticket and customer service operation. It is a critically important unit in the overall business operation of Chippewa Athletics and ultimate financial stability of our program. As we continue to grow and expand Kim will provide excellent leadership."
Hudson began working for CMU as a graduate assistant in 2005, before being hired in as full-time staff in 2006. She previously held the position of manager of tickets and promotions.
As Assistant AD for Ticket Operations, Hudson's responsibilities will include daily ticket office operations and staffing for the athletics department, reconciliation, audit preparation and other financial aspects of athletics ticketing, preparation and management of ticket operations for all ticketed home and away games and special events, and coordinating the efforts of the marketing, Chippewa Club and athletic communications departments on ticket related promotions, events and publications.
"We're bringing together the different areas, from marketing to promotions as well as the business side," Hudson said. "We want to have one vision for our external communications and our marketing efforts for ticketing."
Hudson earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Michigan State in 2005 and her master's degree in sports administration from CMU in December 2009.
