MOUNT PLEASANT - Central Michigan Athletics' Chips for a Cure weekend may be over, but fans can still contribute to the fight against breast cancer.
The CMU volleyball, field hockey and soccer programs each took part in Chips for a Cure last weekend, wearing pink t-shirts during pre-game warm-ups to display a unified front against breast cancer.
Donations were taken at each of the events to raise money for the "Dig Pink," "Stick it to Cancer" and "Kick Away Cancer" organizations, with more than $1,100 raised over the weekend.
Members of Central Michigan University's Zeta Tau Alpha were also at each of the contests over the weekend passing out information on breast cancer awareness.
Fans can still make donations to each of the three organizations by clicking the links above. To date, the Chips for a Cure program has raised nearly $5,000 since the launch of the program in 2010.
