Enns Earns MAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Central Michigan sophomore left-hander Dietrich Enns was named Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week on Friday.

Enns put together a 1.80 ERA in two relief efforts last week, giving up a run on three hits and a walk over five innings of work, while fanning seven. He held opponents to a .200 batting average, picking up a win against Illinois with 2 2/3 scoreless innings. He fanned four batters and allowed just one hit in the contest.

It is the second weekly MAC honor in 2011 for the Chippewas.
