A sizable portion of Chippewa Football's 1100 Club made it an early morning on Saturday, April 2.
The reason? An exclusive sneak preview of the 2011 Chippewas a full two weeks before the spring football game.
The inaugural Breakfast of Champions event provided members a unique opportunity to socialize with the coaching staff and their families including the three newest Chippewas, Morris Watts, Vinson Reynolds and Taylor Stubblefield.
After enjoying the breakfast provided by Max and Emily's of Mount Pleasant, members were invited to view practice in the Indoor Athletic Complex Turf Bay.
Members got to enjoy an up-close and personal view of individual drills and some situational scrimmages.
At times things got a little too close.
During a drill period that featured quarterbacks throwing out patterns to wide receivers, an errant pass caught 1100 Club member Jerry Neyer in the shoulder while his attention was diverted.
Neyer failed to divert his attention for the remainder of practice.

The Breakfast of Champions is just one of many events exclusive to 1100 Club members throughout the calendar year.
