| Soccer Championship Fund We would first like to thank the supporters of the Central Michigan University Women’s Soccer Team. The women’s soccer program has come along way, with a large part of that success due to the support of people like you through the Chippewa Club. Peter McGahey | ||

| Current Championship Fund Initiatives Facility ImprovementsTo be a championship level program we need to play and look like champions. Enhancements to the field, looker room, and coaching offices will give us the championship look that will benefit us in recruiting, fan attendance, and growth of the soccer program. One-Time Cost: $34,000 EquipmentWe are looking to enhance the equipment that is key to the development of our players. Practice goals, large and small, will help to improve the technical development of our players. Back nets are used to keep soccer balls off the field hockey field and field hockey balls off the soccer field. The video equipment will be used to review game and practice film to improve on-field performance One-Time Cost: $24,500-Goals (large): $9,000 -Goals (small): $3,000 -Video equipment: $2,500 -Polar Heart Rate Monitors: $10,000 Out-of-Region TravelThese trips are very important as we strive to maintain our championship program. The out-of-region travel allows us to be exposed to better opponents as we prepare for conference victories. The preseason trip is a way for the team to bond, prepare for the season, and develop a championship focus prior to the actual start of the season.Annual Cost: $13,000 Staff Development Raising money for a second assistant coach would directly benefit our student-athletes. It would allow additional instruction that would otherwise not be available. Professional development is important because it allows the coaches to further their knowledge of the game. Whether it be from clinics or earning additional soccer licenses/certifications, these education enhancements will help us train our women to compete at a championship level. Annual Cost of Second Assistant: $10,000
