The success of the volleyball program since 2006 is the direct result of the financial commitments that our former letter winners, parents, fans and friends have made to our Championship Club and Championship Fund accounts. This program has MAC championship expectations and I believe we are close to achieving this goal. As we strengthen our Championship Culture, additional financial resources are needed to assist our program in meeting needs above and beyond traditional operating expenditures. These resources will assist the program as we strive to become a championship-level program in the Mid-American Conference as well as on the national level. Below you will find a brief description of our Championship Fund goals. By specifically targeting this goal, you will see your contribution, at work, in a tangible sense. Thank you for your continued support and I hope that I can count on you to continue to elevate our program. Erik Olson | ||

| Current Championship Fund Initiatives Enhanced Travel BudgetWith the increased cost of travel, the cost of team travel has never been higher. For our program to continue striving to break into the national volleyball scene, we need to continue to travel beyond our region. This will help us to compete nationally to play RPI teams for NCAA tournament bids and seeding, while our athletes while will compete against different styles of volleyball, and this will challenge our volleyball IQ. Annual Cost: $10,000 Team Building A team is not built merely on the court or in the weight room. We are committed to exposing our student-athletes to leadership exercises and team-building challenges that take them outside their comfort zone. In doing so, I believe we buld not only confidence, but a stronger, more cohesive unit. This year, we spent a day with peak performance coach Carlton Hutcherson and members of our team even did some board-breaking! Annual Cost: $3,000High-Definition Cameras and Video Editing/Statistical Evaluation SoftwareFilm evaluation is a critical aspect of any team's game preparation. In order to compete with other programs in the MAC and around the country, one of our goals is to purchase a permanent HD camera for McGuirk Arena and also to purchase a portable HD camera we can use on the road. We also need to have the tools necessary to make the most out of that film and thus will be looking to upgrade our evaluation and editing software. Annual Cost: $5,000 Facility and Equipment Upgrades As we move into our third year in our new home at McGuirk Arena, we are consistently looking to upgrade everything from high-tech video systems to the poles on the court. Our goal is to be a premier program in the midwest and in order to recruit and maintain the athletes to get us there, our facilities and equipment must reflect this vision. Annual Cost: $2,000 |
