The Chippewas will welcome Angie Berens (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West HS), Emily Cooksey (Jacksonville, Fla./Fleming Island North HS), Laura Gosse (Markham, Ontario/Markville Secondary School) and Morgan Wilcoxon (Bellefontaine, Ohio/Bellefontaine HS) as they seek their third-straight Mid-American Conference regular season and tournament championships.
"The staff and I are really excited about the 2011 class," Stafford said. "Their versatility is the one thing that stands out for me. All of the players coming in have the ability to play multiple positions. Whether it be technical, physical, tactical, mental or emotional, they all have the ability to add something to add to our program in the classroom and on the field."
"We're expecting all four to come in and contribute right away and we believe they can. Defensively and offensively, they all have the ability to add something to our program and play a significant role that will serve themselves and the team very well. As a freshman class, they are a bit smaller than those in the past, but the quality is there."
