MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Chippewas are back home after an 80-77 nail-biter on the West Coast at Pepperdine. Central Michigan looks to win their second game in a row when they welcome Texas State to McGuirk Arena for the first time on Thursday, Dec 20, at 7 p.m.
The Chippewas (5-4) will take on a Bobcats team (4-7) that has tested Utah, Texas, and Northwestern on the road.
Central Michigan's road win against the Waves was its fourth win decided by four points or less. The Chippewas will need that late-game tenacity to come away with win number six on the year.
Senior Kyle Randall has emerged as one of the elite guards in the Mid-American Conference, ranking sixth in points per game (14.9) and fifth in free throw percentage (85.4%). He has scored 20 points or more in three of the last four games and was named MAC West Player of the Week following the win at Pepperdine.
