Meet the Chippewas February 9 at Hunter's Ale House

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan baseball program will host its annual "Meet the Chippewas" event at Hunter's Ale House Saturday, February 9, at 11:45 a.m.

The event will feature a free autograph session, door prizes, lunch and an address by guest speaker Jeff Sovern.

Sovern was a three-time letterwinner with the Chippewas from 1971-73 and climbed as high as AAA with the Cincinnati Reds organization. He is currently the head coach at Battle Creek Lakeview.

The day will begin with a free autograph session at 11:45 a.m., with the first 40 guests receiving a complete packet of the 2013 CMU baseball cards.

The program is set to begin at 12:30 p.m., including a message from Sovern, the introduction of the 2013 Chippewas and lunch.

Lunch is only $10 with an RSVP, but guests are asked to RSVP by Feb. 8 by calling (989) 774-1484 or emailing assistant coach Sam Flamont at flamo1st@cmich.edu
