CMU Head Coach Dan Enos
"I'm very proud of our team, we've played a pretty difficult schedule, and we challenged them in practice this week and it really showed in the game today."
"Ohio had been scoring a lot of points in their last couple games, and so they had our full, undivided attention coming in. They're a very well coached team, and while we didn't play perfect by any means, I thought we played extremely hard and I thought our defense was dominant."
"Titus Davis is a tremendous player. He's a difference maker, he's explosive, he has a good knack for running routes and creating space. When we have him out there he helps the run game, he helps the offense."
"Explosive plays on offense and third down conversions are the key to any football game. "
Thomas Rawls
"We came back and prepared it to get better as a whole and unit. I feel we came back to our tempo.
Did it feel like you had 40 carries?
"Not at all. I didn't know how many carries I had until the end of the game, but I can tell you one thing I'm feeling every bit of it. I'm a tough guy and I have some tough boys up front and we tried to grind it out."
Fourth Quarter and some big runs?
"Just trying to finish. Titus and I, plus the whole senior class, have been trying to practice and finish it. Our offense last week wasn't up to par and this week we come back and got it done."
Titus Davis
All week the team was talking about needing explosive plays, what made that happen?
"I think practice. This week in practice we really took advantage of that. We had all the plays scripted - we perfect them. Obviously, it carried over into the game"
How bad do you feel you and your team needed this win?
"We needed it bad. Anytime you lose three straight that's rough. We needed this "W" and we needed everything from everyone. It was something we said the last couple days - it was 'Fourth and goal.' Just play every play like it's fourth and goal. We did that and it showed."
Blake Serpa
OU wasn't executing in the first couple drives. Do you get confidence from that to help you play around or was it you really executing from defense?
"I think it was a little bit of both. We had a great week of practice and we came out there so a lot of the some things we were seeing in practice. It made things a lot easier and whenever you make someone go three and out back-to-back gives you a little confidence. Especially when the offense is rolling too - it makes it a lot easier.
Tony Annese
"I thought our defensive line played great with getting after the quarterback all game. I don't think we had that many opportunities but I have to go back and watch film."
Coming off last week, what did you do?
"It was a big motivator. Last week, we didn't play well on defense and this week we came out ready to go."
Ohio Head Coach Frank Solich
Opening Statement
"I thought Central Michigan played well. They are a big, physical football team and I think that showed against us at times. We let them get off to a too big of a start early on. They [Central Michigan] had some big pass plays and we are having trouble in the passing game defending it right now. And at times it shows on offense too. We're having trouble moving the ball with any kind of consistency. This was really a team loss today - I don't think anyone is exempt off this one. I think some lessons were probably learned out there by our ball club today. We will start again on Monday and try to regroup."
What did you say at halftime? You had 24 yards in the first two quarters. How do you address that going into the break?
"Obviously, that's not what we're all about. We needed to execute at a higher level to be able to sustain anything against Central because they are very good up front. They had a couple guys inside that were very difficult and I think our young guys ended up learning some valuable lessons in this game about interior line play. We weren't able to establish any kind of running game on them and they did a lot of movement - that put pressure on our quarterback to the point where we weren't able to establish a running game out of it."
