MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan University’s Logan Regnier has been named to the 2014 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District 5 Baseball Team.
The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America and it recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and in the athletic arena.
Regnier, a sophomore outfielder from Novi, is a human resources management major and carries a 3.43 grade point average. By earning All-District honors, Regnier is eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.
Regnier is second on the Chippewas in hitting (.322), hits (55), runs (39), stolen bases (17) and on-base average (.409).
Student-athletes are selected from eight geographic regions across the United States and Canada and named to one of four divisional teams: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and College Division, which combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
Athletes selected to the All-District teams advance to the Capital One Academic All-America ballot, and first-, second-, and third-team All-America honorees will be named in late May.
