Eleven Chippewas Earn Academic Accolades

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Eleven members of the Central Michigan women's soccer team were named to the 2014 Academic All-Mid-American Conference team.
The 11 Academic All-MAC honorees is the most for CMU soccer in its history.
In order to qualify for the Academic All-MAC squad, a student-athlete must have appeared in at least 50 percent of her team's matches and have attained a 3.2 grade point average.
The Chippewas named to the team including year, major, and grade point average.
• Maddy Bunnell, sophomore, marketing, 3.56.
• Christen Chiesa, sophomore, exercise science, 4.00.
• Emily Cooksey, senior, biology/biomedical sciences, 3.62.
• Emma Dwenger, sophomore, neuroscience, 3.74.
• Jennifer Gassman, senior, recreation, 3.86.
• Laura Gosse, senior, sociology, 3.76.
• Kaylin Hoomaian, sophomore, exercise science, 4.00.
• Eliza Van de Kerkhove, sophomore, recreation, 3.88.
• Kaelyn Korte, junior, photojournalism, 3.74.
• Samantha Maher, sophomore, biology, 3.60.
• Jordan Young, sophomore, biology, 4.00.
