Four CMU Wrestlers Earn Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Four members of the Central Michigan wrestling team were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team.

To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative 3.2 grade point average and participate in at least 50 percent of his team's contests.

Those Chippewas named to the team, with year and GPA: Adam Robinson, junior, 3.30, entrepreneurship; Austin Severn, sophomore, 3.42, business information systems; Newton Smerchek, freshman, 3.97, physical education; Jordan Wohlfert, sophomore, 3.46, exercise science.
