Two Chippewas Earn Academic All-District

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Two Central Michigan student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.
CMU's Kaylin Hoomaian and Christen Chiesa were named to the squad for District 5, which comprises student-athletes representing institutions in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
Hoomaian is a senior defender from Novi who carries a 3.99 grade point average. Chiesa is a senior from Pittsburgh who carries a 4.00 GPA. Both are exercise science majors.
With their All-District recognition, Chiesa and Hoomaian are now eligible for Academic All-America honors.
The Chippewas (14-2-3) play host to Buffalo (7-7-5) in a Mid-American Conference Tournament quarterfinal game Sunday at 1 p.m.
