SETTING THE SCENE
The Central Michigan soccer team will take on two Mid-American Conference foes this weekend, beginning on Thursday (6 p.m.) at home against Toledo (5-4-3, 2-0-2 MAC). The Chippewas then travel to Bowling Green (7-4, 2-2 MAC) on Sunday (1 p.m.).
LAST WEEK
The Chippewas, who are 0-2-2 in conference play and 5-4-3 overall, are coming off a weekend in which they played a pair of tie games, 1-1 with Akron and 0-0 with Buffalo.
STATISTICAL LEADERS
Lexi Pelafas leads CMU and ranks second in the conference in points with 17 (eight goals, one assist). She is tied for the top spot in the league with eight goals.
CMU's Madison Costner is tied for sixth in the league with four goals. The Chippewas' Madison Pogarch is tied for third in the MAC with four assists.
Chippewa goalkeeper Zoie Reed has recorded 54 saves.
SCOUTING
Toledo stands in second place in the MAC West after a 2-1 win over Northern Illinois and a 0-0 tie with Western Michigan last weekend.
Hannah Scafaria leads the Rockets with 13 points (six goals, one assist).
Bowling Green split its MAC games last weekend, dropping a 2-1 decision to Western Michigan and defeating Northern Illinois, 2-1.
Skylar Fleak leads BGSU and the MAC with 20 points (eight goals, four assists). She shares the league lead in goals with Pelafas.

The Chippewas go to Miami (Ohio) and to Ball State next weekend for a pair of MAC games.
