CMU's Moore Selected For Prestigious Leadership Institute

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Sherrone Moore has been selected by the American Football Coaches Association to participate in 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute.
The prestigious program, which is presented by the AFCA and NCAA Leadership Development, is aimed at identifying and developing premier future leaders in the football coaching profession. It is scheduled for Jan. 7 during the annual AFCA Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
Moore is in his fourth season the CMU coach staff. He serves as the associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach. He is one of 35 coaches under the age of 35 chosen for the program from some 140 applicants.
The program's curriculum includes interactive lectures that emphasize leadership in the coaching profession, ethics, influential responsibilities, career progression, and family balance.
Moore and the Chippewas are preparing for the Dec. 22 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise, Idaho, where they will take on Wyoming.
