Hines Leads CMU With Opening-Round 81

STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. - Holly Hines shot 81 on Sunday to lead the Central Michigan women's golf team in the first round of the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club.
The Chippewas posted a 338 total and stand in 15th place in the 15-team, 54-hole tournament, which continues with the second round on Monday and is scheduled to conclude with the third and final round on Tuesday. The event is hosted by Georgia State.
Also for CMU on Sunday, Danielle Sawyer shot 84, Bria Colosky carded an 85, Natalie Johnson posted an 88, and Kristen Wolfe finished at 90. The Chippewas' Katie Logan, playing as an individual, shot 87.
Murray Shot shot 293 and holds a one-shot lead over Eastern Kentucky. Oral Roberts (296) is third, followed by Kansas State (298) and Winthrop (300).
Elsa Moberly of Eastern Kentucky shot a 4-under 68 for a three-shot lead over Kennedy Ishee of Oral Roberts, Madeline Marck-Sherk of Florida Gulf Coast, and Anna Moore of Murray State.
Hines is tied for 58th in the 81-player field.
