• Central Michigan and Toledo meet in a three-game Mid-American Conference series this weekend. Game times are 3:05 p.m. on Friday and 1:05 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
• CMU leads the MAC West by 2 ½ games over Ball State, and trails East-leading Kent State in the overall conference race by two games. With two wins at Toledo, the Chippewas can clinch a share of the MAC West title. With a sweep, CMU will clinch it outright.
• Ball State comes to CMU for the final series of the regular-season May 18-20. The Cardinals play host to Western Carolina in a nonconference series beginning on Friday.
• Kent State plays a three-game series at home this weekend with Miami (Ohio) and closes regular-season play with a three-game set at Ohio the following weekend.
• The Rockets have lost 11 consecutive games.

• CMU ranks fifth in the league with a .970 fielding percentage. Toledo is 11th at .959. The Chippewas have turned a league-high 43 double plays.
• The Chippewas' Daniel Robinson leads the MAC with 20 stolen bases, ranks fourth with 65 hits, and shares the league lead with teammate Alex Borglin and Kent State's Luke Burch with 44 runs.
• CMU's Daniel Jipping is second in the league with 50 RBI and is tied for second with 10 home runs.
