CMU will open against the host Golden Eagles (3-1) on Friday (9:15 p.m.) and close the weekend on Sunday (5:30 p.m.) against Loyola (2-2).
The Chippewas are 2-1-1 after going 2-0 last weekend. They defeated Robert Morris, 4-0; and topped Oakland, 3-2, in overtime.
Lexi Pelafas headed in two goals in the Chippewas' dominating win over Robert Morris. It was CMU's home opener.
Madison Costner had two goals, including the game-winner, in the win over Oakland. Costner was named the Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Week
Costner leads CMU with three goals and seven points.
CMU's Mary Carlson earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week after scoring her first career goal against Robert Morris and for her role as the Chippewas posted their first shutout of the season.
Carrie Madden leads Marquette in points with six (two goals, three assists). Jenna Szczesny leads Loyola in goals (3).
The Chippewas will return home to play host to Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Sept. 10. The Titans are 2-0-1 and are scheduled to play two games this weekend in Arizona, the first against Northern Arizona, the second against Grand Canyon.
