Pelafas Earns All-MAC Honor

Senior leaves CMU as program's all-time leading scorer

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Lexi Pelafas was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Second Team for women's soccer.

The all-conference squads were released by the league today.

Pelafas, a senior from Wheaton, Ill., led the Chippewas this season with nine goals and 23 points, ranking third and sixth, respectively, in the league in those categories. She was second on the team with five assists.

Pelafas wrapped up an outstanding career in 2018, finishing as CMU's all-time leading scorer with 42 goals and 94 points.

She has two of the five hat tricks in program history and her 16 goals in 2016 is a program record. In 2017, she scored 13 goals, which ranks third in program history. Her 35 points in 2016 is also a program record, while her 28 in 2017 tie her for third for a single season, and her 23 this season are sixth all-time.

Pelafas earned First Team All-MAC honors in both 2016 and in 2017, and in 2015 was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team.
