Three Chippewas honored for third consecutive year
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Ten Central Michigan soccer players were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference squad for the 2018 season.
The 10 Chippewas, along with their year and grade point average: Amanda Britain, sophomore, 4.00; Morgan Britain, sophomore, 3.90; Devyn Brough, redshirt sophomore, 3.84; Marle Bringard, junior, 3.71; Sheila Magnan, sophomore, 3.59; Mary Carlson, senior, 3.52; Shannon Magnan, senior, 3.47; Sarah Mitchell, sophomore, 3.47; Madison Costner, senior, 3.40; Abby Willerer, redshirt freshman, 3.26.
Costner, Magnan and Carlson were each named to the squad for the third consecutive year. It marked the second straight year that Bringard was so honored.
To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in 50 percent or more of her team's games.
