
Faithe Ways Serving as Assistant AD of Compliance

Faithe Ways coordinates day-to-day NCAA compliance issues for Central Michigan Athletics. She joined the department as the assistant athletic director of compliance in January after serving in a similar role at Weber State University.
Ways leads the department in education, monitoring, enforcement, and maintenance of NCAA rules for all the athletics department's constituents.
"Faithe is a great addition to CMU Athletics and our senior leadership team," CMU Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Michael Alford said. "She will make an impact not only for the department, but for our student-athletes and the experience they have at CMU."
Before joining Central Michigan, Ways served as compliance coordinator at Weber State. There, Ways' primary duties included educating and monitoring Weber State's student-athletes, coaches, athletics department staff members and boosters on issues regarding amateurism and athletics eligibility, recruiting, and playing and practice seasons. Prior to Weber State, Ways served as a compliance assistant at Georgia State University.
A native of Lathrup Village, Mich., Ways attended University of Michigan's Rackham Graduate School and earned a master's degree in public administration. While at University of Michigan, she was a member of the American Society of Public Administrators and a recipient of the Robert R. Robinson Scholarship.
Prior to attending University of Michigan, Ways earned a bachelor of arts in Journalism from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Ways is a member of the National Association of Athletics Compliance and has earned her NAAC certification.
