ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan scored five-first half goals in handing Central Michigan a 6-1 loss in a nonconference game on Friday at U-M Soccer Stadium.
The Chippewas (1-5) play host to Oakland (0-6) on Sunday (1 p.m.) at the CMU Soccer Stadium. Michigan (4-3) snapped a three-game losing streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wolverines scored early with four goals in the first 20 minutes of the game. Taking a 5-0 lead to the half, Michigan extended its lead with a goal in the 64th minute.
The Chippewas would show some resilience as Lexi Pelafas scored in the 69th minute.

The senior from Wheaton, Ill. leads Central Michigan with four goals and eight points on the season. She has posted a team-high 22 shots on the season.
