Frost, Once Again, Named Best In West

CMU senior earned 7th consecutive MAC West Player of the Week Honor

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Reyna Frost was named on Monday the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the seventh consecutive time and the 11^th time this season.

Frost, a senior from Reese, capped a remarkable regular season with double-doubles as the Chippewas claimed home victories over Western Michigan and over Toledo, the latter of which gave CMU its third consecutive outright MAC regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament.

Frost scored 20 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in CMU's 88-57 victory over Western Michigan, and then had 32 points and 11 boards in a 78-45 win over Toledo.

Frost has posted 27 double-doubles this season, the last 13 consecutively. She has 60 double-doubles in her career.

The Chippewas are 24-6 and finished 15-3 in MAC play. They open the league tournament on Wednesday (noon) with a quarterfinal game against either Eastern Michigan or Akron at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
