Warren Earns MAC Player Of The Week Award

Chippewa sophomore posted 2-homer, 10-RBI week highlighted by sweep of Western
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Zavier Warren was named the Mid-American Conference offensive player of the week for baseball on Monday.
Warren, a sophomore shortstop from Southfield, hit .474 as the Chippewas went 3-1 on the week, including a three-game MAC sweep of rival Western Michigan.
Warren had nine hits including two home runs, drove in 10 runs, and finished the week with a .947 slugging percentage. He had a double and a grand slam in a 26-19 nonconference loss to Davenport, and then had four hits including a pair of doubles and a home run in the three victories over Western.
Warren leads the Chippewa regulars with a .389 batting average and is first on the team with 68 hits, 55 runs and 20 doubles. He is second on the team with seven home runs and 54 RBI.
The Chippewas, 31-12, 13-5 MAC, go to Bowling Green for a three-game series this weekend.
