Targgart, Potter Named March Achievers

Central Michigan Athletics and PNC Bank are partnering to recognize the PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Month. Throughout the 2019-20 season, deserving Chippewa student-athletes will be recognized for displaying well-rounded achievement through leadership in the classroom, in the community, and in their athletic endeavors.

The honorees for March are Logan Targgart of the men's track & field team, and Hannah Potter of the lacrosse team.

Targgart, a senior from Coldwater, won the weight throw and finished third in the shot put last weekend in the Mid-American Conference Track & Field Indoor Championships. He has qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships which are set for March 13-14 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Targgart is the two-time defending MAC outdoor hammer throw champion. He qualified last spring for the NCAA East Preliminary.

Potter, a junior from Noblesville, Ind., has recorded two assists in the early going this season for the Chippewa lacrosse team. She ranks second on the team with six ground balls and is tied for second on the team with two caused turnovers.

Potter was named to the All-Southern Conference Freshman Team in 2018 before sitting out 2019 with a medical redshirt.
