CMU's Adam Rzentkowski Named A MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Adam Rzentkowski, a member of the Central Michigan men's cross country team, has been named a Mid-American Conference Distinguished Scholar-Athlete
Rzentkowski, a sophomore from Rosholt, Wis., is a finance major who carries a 3.94 grade point average. He earned Second Team All-MAC honors by placing ninth at the MAC Championships in November. He also earned Academic All-MAC honors.
Rzentkowski is one of 24 student-athletes from cross country (men and women) and football to be honored as a MAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete.
2020-21 marks the seventh year that the MAC has honored "best of the best;" those student-athletes who earned All-MAC and Academic All-MAC honors and who maintained a GPA of 3.50 or above. First-year students along with transfers (undergraduate or graduate) in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Rzentkowski is the first Chippewa male cross country runner since 2017 (Luke Anderson) to earn the MAC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award.
