Soccer Falls In Overtime

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Bowling Green scored in the 97th minute on Sunday in posting a 1-0 overtime victory over Central Michigan in a Mid-American Conference soccer game at the CMU Soccer Complex.
The Chippewas are 7-7-0, 4-4-0 MAC. The Falcons are 7-5-3, 6-1-1.
Madi Wolfbauer scored the game's lone goal on a penalty kick.
Central Michigan outshot Bowling Green, 13-12, including a 5-3 edge in shots on goal. The Chippewas also led in corner kicks, 6-1.
Allison LaPoint made two saves in goal for the Chippewas, who are scheduled to play at Kent State in a MAC game on Thursday, Oct. 21 (7 p.m.).
