Raimann Named By PFF As MAC Offensive Player Of The Year

Eleven CMU football players named to PFF MAC honor squad
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann has been named the 2021 Mid-American Conference Offensive Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus (PFF).
Raimann, a 6-foot-7, 305-pound junior from Steinbrunn, Austria, earned a 94.3 PFF grade with a 93.3 run-block mark and an 88.7 pass-block grade.
Raimann came to Central Michigan after spending his high school days as a foreign exchange student at Delton-Kellogg High School. He moved to tackle prior to the 2020 season and has developed into one of the very best at his position in the nation and is projected by many to be a first-round NFL draft pick.
Nichols, a freshman running back, was also named to the first team offense along with tackle Luke Goedeke. CMU linebacker Troy Brown and safety Alonzo McCoy were named to the first team defense, while punter Luke Elzinga and punt returner Kalil Pimpleton also earned a spot on the first team.
Pimpleton was named to the second team offense as a wide receiver and defensive end Troy Hairston II earned a spot on the second team defense. Defensive tackle John Wesley Whiteside was named to the third team, while center Jamezz Kimbrough and safety Gage Kreski received honorable mention.
