CMU Football Announces 2021 Schedule

Chippewas play six games in Kelly/Shorts Stadium including four Saturday games.
Central Michigan Football announced its 2021 schedule today in concert with the Mid-American Conference.
The schedule is highlighted by six home games in Kelly/Shorts Stadium including four Saturday contests. Homecoming is set for Saturday, Oct. 16, against Toledo.
CMU Athletics continues to work with campus and local health and safety leaders on allowing fans to return for the 2021 season. Central Michigan will begin season ticket renewals and sales in March with single game tickets set to go on sale in the summer.
The squad kicks off the 2021 season with a trip to Southeastern Conference-foe Missouri on Saturday, Sept. 4. CMU also plays another SEC team, LSU, later in the month (9/18). The home opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 11, versus Robert Morris.
Central Michigan starts MAC play with a pair of road trips, playing at Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, Oct. 2, and at Ohio on Oct. 9. CMU follows that up with the homecoming game against Toledo (10/16) and a home game versus NIU (10/23).
The Maroon and Gold kick off midweek "MACtion" at Western Michigan on Wednesday, Nov. 3, with games with Kent State (11/10) and at Ball State (11/17) also set as Wednesday night contests. CMU finishes with a home game against Eastern Michigan on Friday, Nov. 26.
CMU Football returns 24 starters from last year's squad including 2020 MAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year Troy Hairston and five First Team All-MAC selections (Hairston, Troy Brown, Kalil Pimpleton, Willie Reid and JaCorey Sullivan).
