Beachler, Hodgson Earn MAC Academic Honors

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan's Matt Beachler and Caleb Hodgson were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team for men's basketball on Wednesday.
Beachler, a redshirt junior guard from Lowell, is an accounting major with a 3.63 grade point average. He was named to the Academic All-MAC squad in 2019. Beachler started all 23 games in 2020-21, leading the Chippewas with 39 3-pointers.
Hodgson, a redshirt freshman forward from Dansville, is a health and physical education major with a 3.85 GPA. Hodgson played in 17 games this season, making two starts.
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in 50 percent or more of his team's games during the 2020-21 season.
