Groves Adds to Soccer Staff

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan soccer head coach Jeremy Groves has announced the addition of Samuel Costello to his staff as an assistant coach.
"During the interview process, Sam stood out as the best candidate to help us move the program forward," said Groves. "His eye for detail, willingness to learn and his eagerness to start his next phase after playing was impressive."
A recent graduate of Tiffin University (Ohio), Costello was a four-year member of the Dragons' soccer program. He helped Tiffin to two Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament championships and to bids to the 2018 and 2019 NCAA Division II postseason. Â
A native of Ashington, Northumberland, England, Costello coached East Northumberland Country U12s and the Ashington High School team in 2016. In the U.S., he coached with the West Virginia Chaos Youth (U9-U14) soccer program in the summer of 2018.
Costello earned a Bachelor of Business degree in sport management from Tiffin. During his time there, he worked with campus event services.
