Seven Soccer Players Named Academic All-MAC

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.– Seven Central Michigan soccer players earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the 2022 season.
The seven Chippewas, along with their year, hometown, grade point average and major:
This marks the second consecutive year that Basse, Chlystun, Logue & Melin have been named to the Academic All-MAC team.
To qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent or more of her team's games.
The seven Chippewas, along with their year, hometown, grade point average and major:
- Megan Logue, junior, Oak Hills, Calif., 3.83, dietetics
- Addie Brown, junior, Grand Rapids, Mich., 3.49, marketing: professional sales concentration
- Maggie Basse, senior, Fairfax Station, Va., 3.37, Recreation & Event Management
- Elizabeth Chlystun, junior, Zionsville, Ind., 3.79, Neuroscience: Clinical Health
- Ashley Scesniak, sophomore, Hoffman Estates, Ill., 4.0, Biology: Biomedical, Cell & Molecular
- Matilda Melin, junior, Ornsoldsvik, Sweden, 3.91, Sociology: Criminal Justice
- Mariana Marcotri, senior, Osasco, Brazil, 3.97, Sport Management.
