Munson Earns Weekly MAC Award

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Central Michigan senior Corbyn Munson was named the Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week on Wednesday after finishing 5-0 and placing first at the Cleveland State Open.
Munson, a senior from Chelsea who wrestles at 157 pounds, recorded two major decision victories among his five wins in the tournament, improving to 10-4 on the season.
In the title match, he defeated Marcus Robinson of Cleveland State, 4-0. Munson entered the tournament ranked 32nd nationally and third in the MAC. Robinson was 28th nationally and second in the MAC.
It marks the second time this season that Munson has been named the MAC Wrestler of the Week.
