CMU Puts 10 On Athlon Sports All-MAC Football Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Ten Central Michigan football players have earned 2022 All-Mid-American Conference honors from Athlon Sports.
CMU running back Lew Nichols III and punter Luke Elzinga were named to the first team, while wide receiver Dallas Dixon, center Jamezz Kimbrough, defensive lineman John Wesley Whiteside and placekicker Marshall Meeder were named to the second team.
Chippewa cornerback Donte Kent was named to the third team, while tight end Joel Wilson and defensive linemen Robi Stuart and Thomas Incoom were named to the fourth team.
The Chippewas are scheduled to open the season on Sept. 1 at Oklahoma State.
