Soccer Falls To 24th-Ranked Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – No. 24 Michigan scored four goals in the final 10 minutes on Sunday in handing the Central Michigan soccer team a 7-0 nonconference loss at the CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
Junior Kendall Krupiczewicz totaled six saves on the Wolverines' 13 shots on goal. The Chippewas (1-5) had three shots, two from Jaelyn Dobrowolski, with one on goal.
Sammi Woods and Kacey Lawrence led Michigan (4-2) with two goals apiece. The Wolverines had seven corner kicks to the Chippewas' two.
The Chippewas will play their final nonleague game against Eastern Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 11 (noon) at the CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex. The Panthers are 2-1-3 after falling Sunday afternoon to Northern Illinois, 2-1.
CMU opens Mid-American Conference play on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Eastern Michigan.
