Chippewas open the season Nov. 9 at home against Oklahoma

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – An even 5-5 split, with no bonus points either way, ended in a 15-15 draw as the Central Michigan wrestling team contested its annual Maroon & Gold intrasquad dual meet on Monday at McGuirk Arena.

Maroon winners were Kaden Chinavare (125 pounds), Vince Perez (133), Corbyn Munson (149), Tracy Hubbard (165) and Adrien Cramer (184).

Gold winners were Ja'Kerion Merritt (141), Johnny Lovett (157), Alex Cramer (174), Luke Cochran (197) and Bryan Caves (285).

The Chippewas, who last season finished 6-10 in duals, open the season on Thursday, Nov. 9, when they entertain Oklahoma in a nonconference dual. The Sooners are ranked 13^th in the preseason InterMat poll.

CMU finished 5-1 in MAC duals a year ago, earning a share of the MAC West title. The Chippewas finished second in the MAC Championships.
