Baseball enters this week’s MAC Tournament as No. 2 seed in Kent, Ohio; Three Women’s Track & Field athletes to compete at NCAA East Prelims.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Two Central Michigan teams are in action this week as the Baseball team begins postseason play at the Mid-American Conference Championship and three CMU Track & Field athletes will compete at the NCAA East Regional Thursday and Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla.
The No. 2 seed Central Michigan Baseball team opens MAC Championship play against No. 3 seed Ball State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

BASEBALL
Baseball will enter MAC Championship play as the No. 2 seed and will face Ball State in the First Round at 6 p.m. at Kent, Ohio. Depending on the result, the Chippewas will play at either noon or 6 p.m. on Thursday against either host Kent State or Western Michigan. The tournament is a double elimination format.
TRACK & FIELD
Three Chippewas—Hayley Manners (long jump), Emily Paupore (3,000m steeplechase), and Anya Turner (3,000m steeplechase)—will compete at this weekend's NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship regional preliminaries on Thursday. The event will take place May 24-27 in Jacksonville, Fla.
