MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — Central Michigan University Cross Country opens a six-meet schedule Sept. 1 with the 38th annual edition of its own Jeff Drenth Memorial just down the road in Shepherd, Mich. The women's race will lead off the event at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's event at 11:35 a.m.
The schedule features two trips to the campus of Bowling Green as the Falcons host their own Mel Brodt Collegiate (Sept. 15), along with their duty as the Mid-American Conference Championships host (Oct. 28). The Chippewas found immense success in Falcon-hosted events last year as Adam Rzentkowski won both visits while Emily Paupore took the gold in the 2022 Mel Brodt event to lead the women to the team victory.
CMU returns to the Notre Dame Invitational for the fourth time since 2018 as the Fighting Irish host their annual event in South Bend, Ind. (Sept. 29).
The regular season concludes with a return to the Bradley Classic (Oct. 14) and the annual visit to Eastern Michigan's Fall Classic (Oct. 20), held in Dexter, Mich.
The University of Wisconsin will host the 2023 NCAA I Great Lakes Regional Championships Nov. 10 in Madison, Wis. Last year's events saw the Chippewa women cross the line 17th, men 24th.
