CMU Baseball Coach to Take the Mound at Comerica Park

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – A true blue maroon and gold night at Comerica Park in Detroit.
New Central Michigan baseball coach Jake Sabol is scheduled to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the 19thAnnual Central Michigan University Night at Comerica Park on Friday, Aug. 4, before the Tigers take on the Tampa Bay Rays at 6:40 p.m.
The Central Michigan University Alumni Association is organizing several events in conjunction with the game:
• A pregame social in the Blue Moon Brewhouse inside the ballpark.
• The first 1,000 attendees receive a free CMU t-shirt, courtesy of the CMU Bookstore
• Attendees will receive CMU Alumni and Meet Mount Pleasant swag, courtesy of the Mount Pleasant Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
• A commemorative co-branded Tigers/CMU-themed bobblehead will also go to attendees.
CMU President Robert O. Davies will be in attendance, the national anthem will be performed by On the Rox, an a cappella singing group comprising CMU students, and the CMU cheer team will also be in attendance.
A fireworks show is scheduled for after the game.
