Men's Basketball Announces Entire 2023-24 Schedule

Chippewas will host 13 home games at McGuirk Arena in 2023-24; Western Michigan contest scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17; non-conference slate features high-major games at Oklahoma, Florida State, Ohio State, and Creighton; men’s basketball season tickets are on sale now!.
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich.—Featuring a 13-game home slate, non conference games at Oklahoma, Florida State, Ohio State, and Creighton, and a Feb. 17 home game against Western Michigan, Central Michigan announced its entire 2023-24 men's basketball schedule on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, Sept. 19, CMU men's basketball tickets will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. Fans can order season tickets by calling Ticket Central at (989) 774-3045 or by stopping by Ticket Central located in the John G. Kulhavi Events Center between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additional ticket details are listed below.
The 31-game schedule includes 18 Mid-American Conference contests, a one-week, four-game road trip to Florida (Nov. 12-22) and two MAC-SBC Challenge contests. The MAC Championship is scheduled for March 13-16 in Cleveland at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
"We are excited to start practice in preparation for the season," Central Michigan Head Coach Tony Barbee said. "We have several players returning but have added a variety of talented newcomers to the roster. I am excited to get started and excited for our fans to watch this team in action."
As year three of the Barbee Era begins, Central Michigan opens its season at Oklahoma on Monday, Nov. 6 in Norman, Okla, then returns home to Mount Pleasant to take on Louisiana-Monroe in the MAC SBC Challenge. The Chippewas will then travel to Florida for four games, including three in the 2023 Sunshine Slam, with contests at Florida State (Nov. 13), at South Florida (Nov. 15), and two in Daytona Beach, Fla. vs. Siena (Nov. 20) and vs. either Milwaukee or Stetson (Nov. 21).
The non conference schedule also includes contests at Ohio State (Nov. 29), vs. Valparaiso (Dec. 6), at Creighton (Dec. 9), vs. Davenport (Dec. 19), vs. Detroit (Dec. 21), and at Loyola-Chicago (Dec. 30).
MAC play begins on Tuesday, Jan. 2 when the Chippewas host Buffalo at McGuirk Arena. Home league games include contests against Buffalo (Jan. 2), Kent State (Jan. 13), Toledo (Jan. 20), Miami, OH (Jan. 23), Northern Illinois (Jan. 30), Western Michigan (Feb. 17), Bowling Green (Feb. 20), Ball State (Feb. 27), and Eastern Michigan (March 8) to close out the regular season.
Scheduled road MAC games are against Ball State (Jan. 6), Eastern Michigan (Jan. 9), Ohio (Jan. 16), Western Michigan (Jan. 27), Bowling Green (Feb. 3), Akron (Feb. 6), Miami, OH (Feb. 24), Kent State (March 2), and Northern Illinois (March 5).
One game that has yet to be determined is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10 as the Chippewas will travel to a Sun Belt Conference opponent for their second yearly MAC-SBC Challenge contest.
Men's Basketball season tickets start at $100 for General Admission bleacher seats. General Admission tickets can also be purchased online at www.cmuchippewas.com. For upper and lower premium seats, those season tickets are available by making a donation to the Chippewa Athletic Fund. Once the donation requirements are met, upper bowl premium tickets are $150 each and lower bowl premium at $200 each. Season parking passes are also available for $75 each and can be purchased online or at Ticket Central.
