Soccer Lands Six on CSC Academic All-District

Six Chippewa seniors earn the all-around recognition awarded annually by College Sports Communicators
GREENWOOD, Ind. — College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District listing Tuesday, featuring six seniors of Central Michigan Soccer.
To qualify, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50, across both undergraduate and graduate courses, if applicable. Athletically, soccer student-athletes must have either competed in 90 percent of their team's contests for the season or started at least 66 percent of contests.

Tuesday's announcement marked the 21st through 26th CSC Academic All-District selections for CMU Soccer, the first career selection for each of the six Chippewas.
LaPoint finished the season second all-time with 285 career saves, with the second-best season in program history (98). Her career average of 4.75 saves per game ranks first among CMU keepers with at least 20 appearances.
Muessig shared the team lead of 12 points, by way of five goals and two assists, with Walker. Muessig scored eight goals in two seasons with the Chippewas, earning an all-league second team selection from the Mid-American Conference in 2024.
